If you know us, you know that we love our Downtown Phoenix local community and giving back in any way that we can. The holiday season is our favorite not only to host the best holiday parties in Phoenix, but we also love to give back to our community. During this holiday season, we try to focus on those that are not as fortunate during this time of year. Due to recent events, there are always ways to help others even if they are not local.
Here are some of our favorite ways to give back during the holidays.
Whether you head downtown to Phoenix or into a different city in the Valley, there are always tons of ways to get involved and help those in need. Consider looking into food banks and volunteering to hand out food to the homeless or package food for people in other countries. Whatever act you chose will help someone that truly needs all the help that they can get.
The period of time right before the holidays can be the perfect opportunity to clean out your clothes and eliminate your clutter. After cleaning, you can take your items to a Goodwill or Salvation Army and drop them off. Another way of donating is leaving it by your front door and having a truck service pick it up. Items and clothes can be a huge benefit to those that have nothing but donating money can help give them food, build new facilities and get them back on their feet. However you can donate is sure to help make their holidays a bit brighter.
Clean up the City
Phoenix can often get rough if it is not taken care of, much like any other major city. With so many people traveling in and out every day, the city can get run down. Give back to our city by getting people together and cleaning up around town. There are so many neglected areas that we need to give back as often as we can. This is also a great opportunity to gather your friends and family for a morning activity.
Adopt a Family
The amount of families that are in this state but also other countries that don’t have necessities that we all need is a rather large amount. Holidays make for the perfect time to create care packages or purchase items that families desperately need. Items from shoes, socks, toothpaste, paper towel and so many other necessities for every day. Host a holiday party and ask your guests to bring items that a family needs. This is a great way to celebrate the holidays but also help those in need.
