Each year Pantone, The Color Institute, announces their color of the year. Typically the wedding world follows suit and uses the Pantone Color of the Year as an inspiration for trends and weddings colors. 2016 Wedding Colors included Rose Quartz and Serenity which were softer shades of pink and blue. The 2017 color of the year was Greenery and we definitely saw plenty of Greenery in 2017 weddings!

Now we’re excited to introduce the 2018 Pantone Color of the Year, UltraViolet. From Pantone’s website, they describe UltraViolet as “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.”
So if you want to get in on the UltraViolet trend for your wedding, we think including this color in your palette is ideal for the couple who is a little quirky and out-of-the-box. But also, you don’t have to be a boundary-pushing couple to incorporate this happy hue into your wedding! Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite ways we’ve already seen it done, to inspire you for the upcoming year.
